Protur Sa Coma Playa Hotel & Spa

Pleasant polished, modern and spacious choice, part of a huge resort complex of four sister hotels all together in one small resort area. The complex has a sports area with tennis, squash, mini-golf, bike hire and a fun children's play area. There is also a quality spa in the largest property of the group and guests staying here can use this excellent facility. A unique 'reserve' nearby has typical Majorcan animals and this should prove fun for children. There are a choice of international restaurants available in the complex including tapas, Argentinian and Asian. It should appeal to all ages with its extensive range of quality facilities and just a short walk to the great sandy beach and resort amenities. Not to be confused with Sa Coma Platja nearby with which it has no connection.

Interior

The streamlined roomy interior facilities have polished patterned marble surfaces and pillars. There is a huge main restaurant with large windows and quality wooden furniture. An additional public access a la carte restaurant is separate to the hotel but accessed through it. The main bar has comfortable chairs and sofas, looks out to the pool and has an indoor entertainment stage.

Grounds

The stone-paved pool area with tall palm trees and bordered by tidy hedges is agreeable. There is lots of space around the edges of the pool for the good quality sunbeds with canopy parasols. A trendy modern snack bar has wicker-effect seating and a split-level terrace on marble flooring and wood decking. A further pool terrace is at the edge of the property and provides a quieter environment.

Location

Area Type: Among other large accommodation complexes of the same group, on a side street opposite the large rural headland of Punta Amer. A selection of tourist amenities can be found on an adjacent street, 100 yds away. A bus serving the local area stops 200 yds away on the main road. Taxis are easily called from the reception.
